Back to sleep at half past.
Lots of fitful sleep/wake cycles. Got out of bed at 9:30 or so.
10:40 was at the Kaiser mental health clinic, filled out a fairly short for which required arithmetic. The way they worded the questions made my score say DEPRESSION in flashing red letters. Had they separated out things like "do you beat your wife?" from "do you have occasional moments of doubt?" my score would have been a lot better.
I was never good at taking tests.
Doctor was 20 minutes late. PhD in social work, not as useful as an MD in psych. We had a good 1-hour chat, I wasn't good at staying on the subject, she wasn't good at letting me finish sentences.
The results are:
I'm going to attend a group called Mind Over Mood every Tuesday after work for 12 weeks. I wanted to go to the one on memory strengthening but it's in the middle of the day, not conducive to my work schedule.
Will re-schedule the MRI, but this time with a Valium prescription
Stopped off for lunch in a mostly food strip mall I used to go to a lot when I worked near the old Sunnyvale PO.
Had some stuff to do for work, but not much. 1-on-1 with the boss was pretty short because there wasn't much work.
Plans for tomorrow:
Call to schedule the MRI
Two or 3 meetings at work
Duck out sometime to go to MV to pick up the Valium prescription
Maybe this will be the evening to put in some time on the exercise bike
