As a photographer who sometimes shoots professional models, I get some invites on FB to “like” models’ pages. These are not standard FB pages, they are pages for professionals, and require an approved profession subtitle. The models and body builders usually use “Public Figure”. And yes, their figures are as public as FB allows. And to add to the amusement, most of the women in this category have paid good money for their breasts to be even more public than nature made them.
Personally, I find that a turn-off. In the biz they are referred to as “bolt-ons”.
Work. Got there early somehow. Tedious day, I was fresh out of tests to run in the area I’d been subbing in, so I went back to the original branch and spent way too much time listening to transcoded audio, adding delays and scooting the audio ahead of the video. 1000 ms = 1 second, last time I looked. When it comes to lip sync, 1 second is a long long time. To me, 10ms is a long time, but most customers don’t.
There was one part of the test which was a blocker, made what otherwise was a PASS into a FAIL. Took me all day to establish that it was reproducible. Need to talk to the team lead to see if it needs a bug filed, but I think Engineering already knows about it.
Lunchtime was Sizzler. Ho hum. But I love the wings.
Home, watched the lame football game. It was a slam against the NFL draft system. Two top-notch college QBs went to the two teams which are least prepared to make the best use of them.
Reminds me of a scene from the Warren Beatty version of Heaven Can Wait.
Dinner was sparse. Chips & dip, baked beans & cake.
Caught up on PTI & South Park
Have been trying to get the big Dell laptop back to factory defaults, but the app they have for that is giving me grief.
Plans for tomorrow:
- Try to remember it’s bagel day
- Home by way of Costco
