Dazed And Confused

I woke up at 7:30 mostly because I forgot to disable the radio alarm this weekend. I tried to go back to sleep, but could not. This confused me greatly, because usually I’m good for another couple of hours’ sleep on Sunday.

Stood up, and it hit me. Almost fell back onto the bed. Walked to the kitchen where my Hgl gear is, and took a reading. 60. Very low blood sugar level. Self-medicated with two Klondike bars and some episodes of Pardon The Interruption on the Tivo.

Forgot that ice cream is mostly lactose.

Slowly attained normal Hgl, went back to bed to watch some videos on the tablet, but ended up on the john because low blood sugar + lactose does that to me.

The bedding was due for a wash, so that was started. Took my meds, but cut my insulin by 25%. Noticed it was raining, altered my gardening plans, but was reminded that I had not watered the indoor plants yesterday, so I did that, got dressed and watered the plants on the porch. Noticed that in the front garden two marigolds have bloomed and one is on the way.

Took all three hummer feeders inside and refilled them, hung them back outside.

Sat in the rocker on the porch for a couple of minutes watching the rain. Spook watched me from her perch on the other side of the window.

Inside, watched the Raiders blow their game, switched to the 9ers, who were almost impressive in the first half.

At 3:45, headed for Janice’s, got there just before the game was over, decided not to stay tuned for the inevitable give-away in that one.

Janice’s backup drive was full, very strange because her two sets of backups were only about 20% of the drive capacity. Found a hidden folder which would not let me view it, but was taking up most of the space,so I deleted it. I sure hope it wasn’t anything like her photo collection. Seems like way too much space for that.

From there we went to Starbucks for our weekly chat. Toward the end, nature called very suddenly, and suffice to say Starbucks’ bathroom trash bin has a pair of underpants they didn’t have before. I hate when that happens. But at least all my other clothing was spared.

Home, watched the Eagles win in OT while eating “dinner”, which consisted of four pieces of wheat nut bread & margarine, a bag of popcorn and ginger ale.

Tummy feels a lot better now.

Today’s regrets:

  • Did no gardening or even garden shopping
  • There was not trip to Nissan to test drive a Leaf

Plans for tomorrow:

  • Work
  • MNF
