No bananas, so breakfast was a pair of tim tams and an egg. Lime soda too.
Read all the news pages. I deleted all the Thai news sites from my reading list, the corrupt government has crossed all the lines, the generals are still in charge but they wear suits instead of uniforms, and are either appointed Senators or had their opposition arrested so they could run as MPs.
Grocery Outlet for strawberries, bananas, blueberries, green peas, baklava. Lucky's for whipped cream, a couple of frozen lunches, popsicles, fudgesicles, water chestnuts, bamboo shoots, coconut milk. At GO plugged in the car, the first charger failed, the second one got me up to 98%.
Watched a lot of trashy TV. Ran a load of laundry, I may take it out of the dryer some day.
Put stuff away, but made a salad, and pot stickers steamer bowl, then strawberries & whipped cream.
Soaked the rest of the strawberries in water & vinegar.
5 pm, Starbucks with Janice. She says Austin's Howard Lane houses are A Sign®, I should forget about Houston. We'll see next weekend. My plan is to drive up to Austin from Houston sometime during my trip and at least get a selfie with a Howard Lane sign.
I need to email David and find out what day he wants me to visit & meet Thai friends.
Also need to start emptying the house of things I don't need.
It got up to 93° today, 100+ in Texas.
Took all the garbage out, watered all the plants indoors and out. Got the clippers out and cut all the passion fruit vines which were grabbing onto my roses. The pile filled 1/4 of my garden trash bin. Those vines have evil curlicue tendrils which wrap around other plants, pulling the vine on top of them. Huge leaves block out the sun and rain. It was a lot of work, Hgl went low (76) and BP too, pulse went below 60 for the first time in a long time.
Dinner while watching The Redemption Project, reheated some rice and yellow curry chicken. I added the missing link - green peas. Helped a lot.
The last of one of the tubs of ice cream, which had melted and re-froze slightly crystallized, against the bottom of the container. Still yummy, with whipped cream.
Channel surfed to the Housewives of the Potomac, which was worth watching for a change. The father of one of the cast is a guide at the plantation where his grandmother was born, it's now a museum dedicated to the horrible conditions the slaves were subjected to in Louisiana. They showed the whole tour, and he made it very personal for the group.
I am tempted to put the shirts away, but it's too warm still, will wait for morning when it is cooler.
The sleep number yesterday was at 50, which was way low, so last night I tried 70, it seems better.
Plans for tomorrow:
Read the news
Enjoy the aircon
Baylands? Usually 20° cooler there. Set my camp chair in the shade. Bring the tablet.
