I've had two interviews in the past 6 months, one of them I see is advertising the same job again. I guess they were not impressed with the person they hired. I know they were not impressed with me, because I couldn't answer any of their mathematics parlor trick brain teasers. The second one just decided to go with someone whose Windows Server skills were more up to date. Nice place, that one, and I had to agree with them.
So out of the blue today I get email from one headhunter asking if I was interested in a contract at HP in San Diego testing Macs. Pretty funny because I'd told her I was a UNIX/Windows guru looking for a job that pays benefits. And then another recruiter asked me if I ever replied to his last email, which was for a programmer (which I am not). The job was in the QA department of a company which does streaming media, which is me, so he said he would chat with them and see if they have any use for a non-programmer.
BTW, my resume is online at http://www.howeird.com/resume.html
