Short Notice, but worth attending

The congressperson who represents a goodly piece of Silicon Valley and the Peninsula, Anna Eshoo, is having a pair of town hall meetings this weekend. Eshoo is one of the few members of Congress who has consistently voted against the war, against war funding, against Big Oil, for protecting the environment and against all the administration's violations of our civil rights. It's kind of frustrating having her as a rep, because there are so few others who vote the right way, making her mostly ineffective.

Dear Friend,

I'm writing to invite you to join me at my upcoming Town Hall Meetings. I hold Town Hall Meetings in communities throughout our Congressional District all year long to report to constituents about my legislative work.

On Saturday, July 19th I’ll be in Sunnyvale from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. in the Sunnyvale City Council Chambers at 456 West Olive Avenue, and in Belmont from 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. in the Belmont City Council Chambers at One Twin Pines Lane.

I will discuss my work in Congress and on the House Intelligence Committee and the Energy and Commerce Committee, including achieving energy independence, combating global warming, providing affordable health care coverage, American competitiveness, and the war in Iraq.

These locations are wheelchair accessible and have parking. For more information, including assistance with directions, please visit my website at http://eshoo.house.gov or call my District Office at (650) 323-2984, (831) 335-2020 or (408) 245-2339.

I look forward to seeing you in Sunnyvale and Belmont.

Anna Eshoo
Member of Congress
