It Was A Long Day for the Students

Originally uploaded by how3ird.

World Savvy sponsors a World Affairs Challenge each year, bringing small teams of students from middle and high schools around the Bay Area to SFSU to present posters and skits and participate in a collaboarative questions challenge on a broad topic of global concern. This year's topic was Human Migration. I volunteered to be a judge, and along with three others watched three skits and two CQs in 4 hours, with lunch provided in there somewhere.

It was thrilling to see the amount of work which went into each skit, and to know there is some actual interest in world affairs in some of the schools around here. Sad to say, most of the schools represented are private schools.
